ANUSOL™ Plus Ointment For external hemorrhoids: The patient should cleanse the affected area with mild soap and water and rinse well or pat with an appropriate cleansing pad. After gently drying by patting or blotting using toilet tissue or a soft cloth, they should apply the ointment to the affected area up to 5 times a day. For internal hemorrhoids: The patient should remove the cap from the tube and lubricate the applicator with a small amount of ointment. Attaching the applicator to the tube, they should insert into the rectum and gently squeeze to release medication. The applicator should be washed with soap and water after each use. Repeat applications every 4 hours, or as needed, and after every bowel movement, up to 5 times daily. ANUSOL™ Plus Suppositories The patient should remove one suppository from its foil wrapper and insert it into the rectum. One suppository should be used in the morning, one at bedtime, and one after each bowel movement, up to 5 times daily.
